I'm not sure why it is, but they seem to be dumbing down television for kids. There is an excessive amount of immature humour tossed in this for no apparent reason. I mean sure, the original Teen Titans wasn't the most serious show ever, but at least the "random humour" was balanced out with a decent story line. Based on this preview, however, it seems like they are going in the direction of making yet another hyperactive, random-humour based cartoon. (As if there aren't enough of those.)
I know that this is supposed to appeal to kids. It just seems like they don't allow kids to feel any emotion while watching cartoons anymore. It's just nonstop nonsense. It's fine to have shows like that, but the cartoon industry is completely over-saturated with them. A lot of cartoons are just carbon copies of one another. It's like they lack the creativity to come up with anything new. (Especially considering this a remake of another cartoon.)
Obviously there are still some good cartoons out there for kids. I just find that the cartoon industry is shying away from making shows that have any serious moments at all. It's a shame.
