The major reason I find that people like xbox better than PS3 was who you would play with online. Wanna play solo you can have the same fun experience with the PS3, but it doesn't work like that the most influential thing of the console is who you are playing it with.

Besides now that the new console is coming out I think the PS4 will have party chat so I'm petty sure I won't get the next gen xbox.

Seems they might have two types of consoles one a "subscription based" and one normal model. I see another pay to play console again.
