Ya I get it, and like I said it isn't really a bad thing. It's never really a bad thing to have so much to do. But for me, while there's lots of smaller things I can find to do ultimately I get bored of the actual purpose of Zombies(ya, I can build this, and I can go this way instead of that way and there's lots of little secrets... but I'm still killing zombies the same way each and every game). I just don't think the core gameplay that Zombies has evolved from was really ever suited for how expansive the series has gotten. It doesn't help that whether or not you have a good game is completely based on luck. The game is fun when the odds are in my favor and I get decent weapons from the mystery box and so on, but it's a drag when I play and I get: sniper rifle -> ballistic knife -> EMP grenades -> grenade launcher -> ballistic knife -> grenade launcher -> bear. Suddenly you're not playing the game, but wasting your time trying to get points so the random box grants you the privilege to actually start playing the game.
The other night I played with my nephew and never got a single decent weapon from the mystery box. I rolled like 10 times. By the time we died we were on round 12 and I had a grenade launcher and python. I never got to get any perks because I never got even a semi-decent gun from the box.
But like I said I'm a bit on the casual side. I don't get that into the game, so I'm sure a lot of people would laugh at my playstyle and tell me I'm doing it wrong. It's just that zombies is quite a time investment, and it sucks to waste 30-45 minutes with nothing but bad luck.

I agree that luck is a huge factor in zombies since getting to the higher rounds you need to have really good guns. I also agree that the series didn't change much apart from maps and buildables, but from what I see they are trying to incorporate some kind of story but they cannot get away with just an ending. The game has evolved to being "who gets the most points and highest round" then from what others might enjoy like "Completed the game in --:-- time or got these achievements while playing". The problem with the zombies part of the game is how changing it can affect how people think of it. Since the Call Of Duty community is really large and some people have been playing since their first game, changing something that has been same through out many games could make them hate it. They have gotten so used to having the rounds and trying to get the highest possible that having a different method of zombies would freak them out. Treyarch is probably trying to slowly bring in a story to the game with the new features they are adding but they are doing it at a pace for players to get comfortable before changing anything drastically. That is my thought on what is happening or what will happen but I agree that it does get hard to play and not being lucky or just having fun instead of going for high rounds gets annoying. Having some sort of story or adventure other then running in circles killing 10000s of zombies will make the game interesting for many players including me but there are also those who like how it is. I also want to say I'm not much of a zombie player, I play it from time to time but I'm more into multiplayer. I'm just sharing my thoughts and opinions because zombies can get boring but it is fun to play when I have nothing to do and it can be improved in many ways to become more fun and less repetitive.
