I'm used to Smartcast and a-move, but I can't seem to play unlocked camera. Doesn't feel like it helps me in any way (already look around via clicking minimap) outside easier last-hitting in laning phase, which is the only place I use it. I feel lost in teamfights.

Do you play ADC often or any champs with decent range? I was also really stuck on locked camera when I first began playing, but now I spend about half the game unlocked. In most situations, there's nothing wrong with a locked camera. Especially in teamfights, because they get disorienting and they are close-quartered encounters anyway.
If anyone tries convincing you that you absolutely need to use unlocked camera to be a good player, they're exaggerating. You don't even need to use attack move to be a good player, many streamers in the pro stream will tell you that. Just do whatever you're comfortable with.
I do wish that League supported the ability to instantly enable or disable smartcasting for an ability on the UI. If I was able to right click the ability to toggle smartcasting on and off, I'd like that. For certain champs, like Ezreal, I have to edit the keybinds every game to set his E as an automated smartcast. I smartcast most escapes.
ARAM queue in the new patch is the one thing I've been looking forward to forever. Ranked ARAM would be awesome.
