Hyperbole is a probability here, maybe he just had a ****ty day and felt like venting. I've had "****ty days" for similarly trivial things as well. Also don't forget he mentioned school, work and relationships. Those aren't all that trivial, he didn't go into detail but they can all be some of the more stressful things in live.
