My dad is the kind of "Obama is a ****ing terrorist Islam is working it's way into america and is gonna kill us all." kind of person. And pretty much all I can understand is:

911 = Muslims attacking america
Boston Marathon = Muslims attacking america
(My dad's exact words to me were "you know, I'm really not surprised that it was muslims who attacked the marathon, I can't see how you can possibly, at this point in time, say Islam is in anyway peaceful")

And like most middle age men raised in the south, that's all it takes to make the entire muslim population, democratic party, and middle east into a bunch of terrorists. And I'm not judging but a lot of islamic beliefs don't help, nor would the boston marathon. Tbh I think it's just intolerance and the way people are being raised, I mean people are literally brought up learning that Islam is bad, and y'know no one would lie to a child so it must be true.
