A broadcast message every once in a while really wouldn't have much of an impact on farming. The first few times it may work, for only so long. People will come just because they see a staff broadcast. They'll give it a whirl, but will probably soon give up due to lag and PKing like Rose said. The next time they do it, less people will are likely to show up. Then even less after that. Eventually you'll end up with what I call the Julius effect. Julius was the former GP Chief and everyday he would broadcast warnings about scamming, inappropriate guild pictures, and harassment. These messages were probably highly effective. More people assumingly took heed of these messages. However, eventually he started broadcasting these like every half hour or so. It went from: This is a helpful reminder and forewarning. To: Ughhhh again? Shut up, we understand already! Needless to say, it'll just get annoying to the point where nobody really cares anymore. This is why idea this most likely bound to fail. People will lose interest after a while and return to the way things were.
