What's one cooking mishap you've had? One of mine's just happened a dew minutes ago. I was cooking eggs with oil, and decided to see what would happen when I put water in the pan. My face still hurts.

You're lucky you got away without burning your house down. It should be every parents responsibility to show their children what happens when you put water in grease, and how to properly deal with a grease fire(smothering).
My only mishap I imagine would be flipping a burger in a pan and having a 6ft flam shoot out of the pan.
