It's already coded (along with a chess bot to play against a computer) from the skill games. I suppose that he didn't think that it was worth the effort, listing off several other (irrelevant) things that should be pursued instead.

Yeah, but porting it to iPhone/Facebook would still take a lot of work, to get the interface to work. Additionally, it may not be efficient enough for iPhone.
