You can send custom Pokemon over to your game, through the GTS. I believe there's now an app for it..

They can be flawless, shiny, and have the desired abilites and moveset. I don't even own a legitimate Pokemon game at the moment, needless to say, but way back when, I would have countless of Pokemon obtained through this method.
