So the Coalition (comparable with the Republican Party) has just won the Australian election. Currently they have won 85 seats of a 76 needed to win (live updates here).

Australia can say goodbye to a National Broadband Network, school bonuses, a half-decent (lol) asylum seeker relocation problem, GAY MARRIAGE, good economic management, a carbon tax (to save the ****ing planet) amongst other things.

For you non-Australians, this means Tony Abbott is now the Prime Minister of Australia. If you don't know who this is, watch the video below about him, and then feel free to make a decision on how bad the election result is.

Basically, Mitt Romney won.
