Playing with a D-pad or analog stick is essentially the same as playing on a touchscreen device, depending on what you're more comfortable with. What I mean is there are no actual advantages in respect to movement, etc., other than personal preference and finding one more comfortable than the other. I've used a PS2 controller and a SNES controller to spar on PC before. The PS2 controller felt awkward and my thumb was dead with the SNES D-pad after 10 minutes of sparring. Both are 100% obsolete to keyboards.

Surprisingly, there was no mention of any controllers during last week’s event that introduced the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. But hopefully, we’ll hear something regarding the gamepad situation as early as tomorrow, when iOS 7 is officially released to the public.
