I know other players that do the same thing or at least attempt to do the same thing. By jumping in and helping 700+ hour guilds to 1k thus trying to get on the hat list at the same time "making friends" and telling them to come join their guild when that guild finishes hitting 1k.

I guess it's not a bad strategy tho.
