If I remember correctly, the poison game is classic didn't effect your health. Each player had a box there stood in that kept score. There were 9 boxes total. The beer mugs were in the middle, and were reset each turn. This is where I'm a bit foggy, but once your box opened I believed you had a certain amount of time to run to the middle, drink a beer and make it back to your box before the time was up. Before the box open you would bet how many beers weren't poison. Example, if you say 3/10 there's less chance to pick the right beer, but if you pick the right one, its more points to you and vice versa, if you pick 8/10 you have more of a chance but will get less points. The time limit is only to keep the players active, and first player with the to reach 50 (for example) wins. I may be wrong on a few details but I believe that's how the game went. It was actually pretty fun.
