i think you may be missing a third definition because by those two definitions singing isn't a talent, nor is playing an instrument or a sport and it reflects the current usage of the word to say that "my talents include playing football and piano" is a correct sentence. it should be synonymous with "skill" and the definition of skill here, "a particular ability", should be appended.
