Did I ever say it was a good reason? It's not.
Here, I have an idea: to better understand the original intent of the author, let's try linking the two clauses with a transitional phrase!
Tip: Implied phrases are a valuable asset every writer should consider utilizing in their craft - not only do they make thoughts more concise, they also bring unconscious understanding to the conscious level.
