It has nothing to do with religion. Graal is a multicultural game, with people playing from all around the world. To cater to one specific culture or country is unfair. People ask all the time to have this and that holiday in the game, but it's not realistically possible to do that. So instead it was decided to just not do anything for any holiday specific to one country.
Like it's been said, Christmas, Easter and Halloween are sticking around because despite having religious/cultural backgrounds they are still celebrated around the world in many countries.
