You go about choosing all wrong... so what if they talk to you doesnt mean they care, its their job, 'Player Relations' if they don't talk to you how are they at all gonna do their job. Which is where favoritism comes in which a lot of admins do ALOT, its so obvious why don't they have some other job where they are actually productive, when admins favor certain players others are ignored and they have no "relations" hence their job title, with the players. A good PR needs to have close to or no favorites, respond to everyone, and not be bias to new players or rule breakers.
PR have tons of favorites and really how do they ever talk to other players really...

Sorry to ruin it for you, but you are wrong in more ways than you think. I for one choose to remain unbiased, hence why I do not join gangs, families, etc. I don't play favorites.
A PR
can do his/her job without keeping casual conversations or relationships with players.
A good PR is one who is able to punish even those called "favorites" when needed.
A good PR is one who is able to help players they dislike/disfavor when needed.
A good PR should
NOT answer each and every player and should have the ability to distinguish which player he/she needs to respond to. For example, if a player asks repeatedly for items even after being told 'No'. If a PR keeps replying, the player will keep asking. Which slows the PR down in doing his/her job replying to those players who genuinely need help.
