iOS may not have the freedoms Android do but it is a much more smooth and user-friendly experience. Android can be very intimidating unless you get a Google made phone.
Even Android lovers have to agree with me on that point.
Nexus 5 is beautiful would have got it but heard bad things about it's battery life.
Apple wasn't going for a brand new phone. They should have kept the five tbh. When the iPhone 6 comes out the 5S will be $99 thus rendering the 5C obsolete.
5S is an extremely fast phone though. The A7 chip and 64-bit capabilities will make it a long lasting phone.
Not sure if sarcastic or not. But I agree.

Your first point is somewhat true to an extent. Usually the samsung galaxy phones are known to be a bit laggy but overall android has shaped up well. My HTC One running Jellybean runs as smooth as an ios device, as does my Google Nexus 7. And yes pretty much every smart phone has terrible battery life but I have also heard the Nexus 5 being one of the worst. And androids software isn't as simple as ios, but once you learn the basics it's a hell of a lot more fun to use than ios 7 imo.
