I didn't get to play Classic back in the day but from what I have read and have been told from friends who played then and still play now It seems like it was better then.

Classic wasn't better then, i can tell you that. It's not the glitchy, problematic and small server people miss, it's the memories they shared. i can say even i miss the old days, however, in terms of mechanics. Classic is much better now.
