Our pet system will be a big feature for players. They will be able to capture other pet's instead of simply buying them. Also train them, level them and evolve them, and battle other player's pets. There will also be events for pets, just like there are events for players. Players will be able to pick the pet they wish to have participate in the event and play as their pet.
We also have a gmapped sparring arena to have a much better/cleaner design, instead of trying to cram everything into one level. I know what everyone is thinking, lag. We've got that covered! When two players enter the spar and they both say start to begin the spar, they will be warped into another level with only the spar pit area. Though players will be able to see the spar go on, because we will have something like Unholy Nation's tourney viewer, except for every spar. This is an idea I've had for a long time.
Also we are going to try to have a UDP system for Doomsday which players will be able to download and have run along side Graal. Since Stefan/Unix doesn't want to implement UDP back to Graal, we will do it for the sparrers that have left Graal with V6, mainly UN. I am also trying to come up with a concept for PKing. PKing was a huge part of old Graal and is just flat out fun when you get a large group of players involved, so I do want to bring that aspect of Graal back to life.
Our server will also be based around events and hat collection since hats seem to be a big thing among classic servers.
Our tileset is close to being entirely complete. Our pet system's battling section is functioning and Blah64 is working hard on the rest. All of the general attacks are listed and detailed. We have the graphics for our first pet 95% finished and once our tileset guy (Alex) is finished with our tileset, he will be starting on more, along with Unknown. We plan on having a wide range of pets for the community, which is why we are going especially hard to find GFXers. I also have a pretty decent part of re-designing the overworld complete, and Trimaster, Ekflight and myself are still going hard and won't stop until it's finished.
