I didn't like the first arc at all, but I thought the second arc was really solid in terms of character and plot development up until the last episode.
Please, don't watch the last episode.

I would of let the second half pass, if it didn't break so many rules that were set in the first half of the season.
Don't get it wrong, I still enjoyed the series much like SAO. The first OP is honestly one of the reason why I kept watching.

Actually, no. They always break a 24 (or around that) episode series in half and call it two seasons. If a large break was inbetween episodes 12 and 13, I would agree with you.
