[QUOTE=Blueh;464733]Major flaw in the storyline: I just got attacked by a shark on a huge cruise ship. My friends and family are dead. I'm depressed. I'm stuck with a bunch of strangers on a godforsaken island wondering how I'm going to survive. Oh! Thanks for the money, captain! Let me go buy something from that monkey over there! Not quite. Also, if there even is a 'civilized' portion of the map who is capable of developing modern weaponry- wouldn't they also be capable of scavenging the ship, or receiving a distress signal from the ship in the first place and bring those guns and save the day?
Something big attacked and tore a gash in the ship which caused sharks to get aboard...still a little farfetched but they don't just appear. The ship was sailing in open seas and just happened to sink or crash into this island after being attacked by an unknown sea creature...the ship and the island are not connected as the island(sorry if I forgot to mention) is a somewhat poor one. Thought the street fights, rampant theft, and begging would help you get that.
You are carrying 500$ on you and use it to buy from the captain, not the monkey(Though I am interested his merchandise more).
The civilized people would have to go through the natives before they could even get a chance to help the people on the cruise and remember that the natives and civilians don't exactly get along. This is a graal game, not everything needs to make sense ;P
As for the player joining with and befriending the natives? There are civilized tribes you can buy from but I think that should be about it as friendly interactions with natives go. Think of the civilization as a colony among the natives.I do appreciate the criticism however. Gives me alot to think about.
