This is an issue that's popping up quite a lot in various shops, and even in houses. Basically the dpad obscures the lower-left corner of the screen, and thus makes it impossible to tap anything in the lower-left corner of the level.

I have been planning for a couple of days to add something specifically for housing, but I think I will focus on shops first.
