It may have audio output but you'd probably be better off just getting sound from your computer to other speakers (cheap logitechs perhaps?) than deal with the monitor speakers.

Generally speaking, the audio you get from a monitor with built in speakers is very poor. There are some that rise above the rest, but by and large the audiophile world considers it garbo!
