I own a Wii U myself and I LOVE it! But, it really depends on the games you want to play. As a big fan of Zelda, Mario and other big titles I would recommend it greatly. I got Assassins Creed Black Flag for it and it is really amazing, it has the map on the gamepad and is exactly the same gameplay as any other console. Graphics wise, they're very good. It is great for playing with friends, but is just as fun playing by yourself. But really, it all comes down to what games you want to play. You can also watch youtube and all that from the Wii U itself. Also, Mario Kart 8 and 3D World are amaze balls.

SUPER SMASH BROS 2 OMFG CAN'T WAIT. I have to admit it, I love Animal Crossing and Pokèmon as well
