Judging a war based on kill counts seems a bit boring. If anything, wars should be about interrupting the enemies daily activities.
Back when I used to play(a long time ago) guilds had their OWN war enemies and such. We did this via announcing our wars to our guild members, and in turn any enemy seen was to be killed on sight. We would follow guild members around and kill them until they conceded.
Being warped into an isolated area and killing until someone gets bored just seems like a bit of an anticlimactic approach to war.

Don't think you fully read the idea and you kind of contradicted yourself. The idea isn't to pk another guild into boredom which is how guild wars used to be with no clear winner and both guilds claiming victory after. A kill counter would give you a clear winner and the amount of kills are set by both guilds. Ideally for me an hour long war would make sense. You want to talk about mindlessly doing something for thousands of hours.. Have you ever castled?
If you wanted a war you could just tell the enemy guild to meet your guild in a PK room (not sure if they're still around) and the guild that gives up/gets the most bored would lose.
The idea of challenging a guild and being able to PK them anywhere on the overworld sounds fun though.

Haha yeah Reece the guild that gets bored first wins sounds like a ton of fun. What is your complaint about a kill counter. Wars were updated to this on npulse and UN and it was a ton of fun.
If we could have wars throughout the whole classic playerworld that would be awesome but people would complain which is why I think either warring guilds, guild houses should be connected with guild a's house west guild b's house east and a middle battleground. Or a guild war island like on npulse and UN that warring guilds could warp to.
