The purpose of the hammer in past iterations was more along the lines of a stun/slowdown mechanic. Players hit by a hammer would get "squashed" causing them to move slower for a short period of time.

Yeah, I was also thinking of a stun-type thing, but then we're adding brand new mechanics which would make things a lot more complicated. And I'm not sure how much use a slowdown mechanic would have in Classic's current pk system.
But even just thinking about all these things, there's so much potential! It seems like the dev team is just "playing it safe" when it comes to Classic. Are there even any big updates on the horizon? Like.. Anything to get excited about? Give me some hope, Dusty.
