You think making an official tournament is gonna keep people from invalidating it? There'll always be a reason, legit or not. GST is laggy af but it gives a great excuse when your team loses so as to save face.
I think incentives similar to Crime's 2v2 tournaments are the best way to go, even though it's probably hard to organize a 64 player tournament or something.

I don't, I just think that an official one where you get some reward and official recognition for winning would attract more people because no one would do the GST if that wasn't the case
