I think it's pulling a NGNL. Doesn't really finish anything and doesn't have a S2 or any continuation announcement.

Nah Tokyo Ghoul is worse, at least NGNL concluded something and just open new possibilities, but Tokyo Ghoul last episode did not even conclude the arc they are on.
