As far as my opinion goes, everybody here that's saying "not accepting gays makes you a bad person" is a bad person, but that's ok because again, it's my opinion. Just like it's their opinion, and just like that's your opinion. The cliche excuse for being gay typically states that you were born gay and it's just part of your personality. This is for the most part true, but wouldn't that make being straight just part of another person's natural being? Certainly. Another thing we're all born with is human rights. Last time I checked, right of opinion was included in these human rights, so why must we take these rights away from anybody? We're all born with toleration limits of some sort; some of us might puke when we see two gay guys making out, while another person might get turned on by it. Either way, it's pathetic to think people who aren't willing to accept gays are bad people.
Another note: Yes, our society is evolving. Slurs in the 1700's most likely have different definitions in the 21st century.
