It sickens me that you would find a "thrill" in trying to survive. You wouldn't be the only one affected by this - do you think the people in Africa are finding a "thrill" in surviving? Do you think that everyone else in the world would find a "thrill" in surviving? That is an extremely selfish way of thinking. So many mothers have lost their children, so many people have lost family members. You're not afraid of death, but imagine how your family members would feel? You're only thinking of yourself and you're not thinking about how other people would be affected by this. Not everyone wants to die. Not everyone isn't afraid of dying.
