he's been missing for like a week now so whatever he was telling people I didn't hear or know about.
the prize thing was rushed and I didn't handle it very well and set prices too high based on what I saw on the leaderboards.
oh well, will make changes to it next year and hopefully things will go smoother.

I appreciate you admitting to some mistakes.
I too am I bit ticked off to hear that givers will get a third back, given what we were originally told (that givers wouldn't get anything, except the top 6).
Aside from that, I'm still pretty happy with this Graaloween. But then, I wasn't playing during the last 2 so I don't have much to compare it to. I was satisfied when the VIP room opened in crypt. I saw the goody bags as icing on the cake, and I'm happy with what I got (and I'm psyched about getting 200 or so back to get a little more).
I have one question: Does the candy we give out now go toward out giving total? I'm guessing that's a no, since the leaderboards are closed and you're ready to hand out this rebate now (despite the fact that people still have candy to give).
It's very hard to anticipate how plans will play out when you're dealing with a large and diverse playerbase like on Classic. Sometimes you gotta tweak stuff as you go and when you're dealing with very specific holiday content that only spans over the course of a few days you'll never get that chance to tweak.
Classic was trying something new to try to provide players with a more immersive and enjoyable Halloween.

People will always complain, but there's a lot of people who enjoyed themselves too. I didn't play last year but from what I heard, the candy ghosts were just a headache. I enjoyed collecting (and giving) candy, as well as everything else (Onnett, Taylor Richard's, club crypt, pumpkin blob). The content was rolled out at a steady rate and kept me interested and not bored. So overall it's still the best Graaloween I've played so far.
