Nearly a whole season was dedicated to the Royal Guard battles, which added up to less than an hour in their time with all the recap and slo-mo, and several things happening at same time. But all the battles were a huge waste, none of the Royal Guards were even affected by their efforts. okay Netero's 100-hand gold statue was legit; but after the bomb explosion, when the 2 royal guards revived the king by feeding him most of their body mass (and turning into annoying chibis), i raged. Not long after that i was throwing fits of rage again when Gon transformed into essentially a super saiyan to beat Pitou's skull in. That battle was literally all I was looking forward to, and they had to go and way over-exaggerate it.
