Not everyone knows how hard you work and how much you do (without pay, mind you), so while your reactions are completely 100% justified, people will still post things based on what they see (like Era and Ol' West both having thanksgiving-related content and/or events).
Of course, Era has a lot more staff and Ol' West is new so they want to push out as much content as they can to draw people in. Classic has always been quality over quantity.
I think it would be nice if you just throw in random items in a revolution opening with no actual theme
Players would be kinda happy and the staff wouldnt need to do that much
and concentrate on christmas instead

That's the type of thing Era or Zone would do. Sure, Classic can open Rev or Nexus using reused tilesets and re-sell old hats (while throwing in a few new ones), but that's not what Classic is about (and many people, including myself, hate it when they resell old items). If you're not talking about reselling stuff, then where are these "random items" come from? Hats, morphs, mounts, and furniture all require time and effort to make, especially to the level of quality that Classic is known for.
