If you're serious about this game, you're using a skin. Default osu! skin has those ****ty distracting combobursts and individual circle-hit score for 300 which really blocks out everything behind it - sucks and can distract you and mess up reading, especially on triples/stacks and streams with sliders where reading is crucial.

Look at the videos I posted on the second or third page or something, if I get a 300 hit it won't display any image behind it which really clears up the playfield. And the skin I modified and used on my Freedom Dive video is about as minimal as you can get. Notice how clean the playfield is despite Freedom Dive being one of the busiest non-0108 songs.
