For a long time ive been an advocate for quests which give you new, more powerful weapons, more hearts, more items, etc. but of course people would always tell me that it wouldnt be fair to new players since they'd just get completly destroyed by these powerful people running up with 20 hearts, and their sword that does 1.5 damage. so how about a compromise. while i was gone i got very into team fortress 2, another hat based game. here i saw they had weapons which you unlocked, or found but were still balanced with the others meaning they had good things about them, and bad things about them. id like to bring this into graal with quests. here are a few ideas i had. ill explain the quest, the item, and what kind of player its for. my hope is these items, if implemented, would bring a lot of strategy into fighting in graal. itd be nice if these quests came with some hats or gralats as well as some of them are pretty hard. most of the items are even already found somewhere in graal!

New Swords
(note, these could not be used in spars.)

Blacksmiths Erands
Item: Mallet Sword
Quest Description: The blacksmith needs steel from deadwood mines, and wood from the strong oak tree in swamp town. he gives you his pickaxe and axe to borrow in order to get these items. the trees pretty easy. you head down into swamptown, and there youll find an oak tree. chop it down. however when you chop it down, a bunch of squirrels, birds, and other things will pop out and begin attacking you. the mining one is much harder. in the caves in deadwood theres another added section where you enter a maze of caves occupied by bats and spiders who arent too keen on visitors. get to the end, and mine that iron. bring them back to the blacksmith and he'll craft them into a nifty new sword.
weapon description:
Does .5 extra damage
longer swing recharge time
for people who like to run around, time their swings, and conserve them to make them count. if you miss a swing you'll be at a disadvantage because you cant swing again until you finish your last one, and you cant move until you finish your swing. you cant spam with this sword. the idea is good players who make most of their hits will use this sword well. however spammers will not be able to use it effectively. you can swing every one second.

Sword Thief
Items: the stinger sword
Quest Description: you return to the blacksmith, and he tells you he made you another sword. just then someone runs in, steals the sword, and runs off. you must find the culprit hiding somewhere on the map. when you find him, you must beat him using your sword while he uses the stinger. you must have the mallet to do this quest
Item Description:
faster sword recharge rate
have to be very close to the person to do damage
you can swing more now, and move almost immediately after each swing. allows you to dodge more, and to make mistakes, as well as to get away right after you hit them. however hitting them is much harder since you have to get closer to them.

Other Weapons

Sardons Tower
Items: Fireball launcher
Quest Description: The evil wizard Sardon is up to no good in his castle. you must enter the new rooms added to the castle in the library, get past all his guards, and kill him as he launches fire balls at you.
Item Description
instead of having the piercing arrows in the bow you now have fire balls which explode on hit. for people who like having the explosiveness for attacking large groups. i dont know how youd make it so you didnt have infinite ammo with it. id rather not put in place a mana system, but it should be limited.

Blocked Shipment
Item: healing potions
Quest Description: a shipment has been held up by a bunch of toppled rocks. you have to move them out of the way so that the shipment can get through.
Item Description: same thing as eggnog. just looks different. you can hold 1 potion which can be used 10 times before it needs to be refilled at christians shop in graal city. costs something like 30 gralats to refill.

Blocked Shipment 2
Item: Lightning bombs
Quest Description: another shipments been blocked, but this time by baddies. you have to kill all the baddies outside the ship, and then go inside to fight a baddy like the gold one which used to be outside the castle, and used lightning magic.
Item Description: like the lightning bombs that admins sometimes used to drop, and ones found in PC. smaller explosion range, but .5 more damage. people who are more accurate with their placement, and can use that extra damage effectively.

Whackos Challenge
Item: Boomerang
Quest Description: a clown named whacko has taken up residents in north graal city. he has a challenge for you. if you can make t through his series of riddles, then he'll give you a prize.
weapon description: stuns players based on distance. doesnt stun a person right next to you, must be 4 blocks away to stun, and stun increases the farther away they are. starts at only like half a second so this cant be spammed or abused. when someone is stunned, the boomerang immediately comes back to you. also can be used to collect dropped items like bombs, arrows, and gralats.

Lizard Invasion
Item: Hammer
Quest Description: for lack of a better idea, graal has been invaded by an encampment of lizards in north onett. go take them out, and kill the captain who wields a hammer to collect it.
Item Description: again, another old classic item, or "admin" item. can be used to farm, very slow firing speed, squashes people momentarily so they cant move, but they can still attack (so it cant be abused). does .5 damage.

Moves

Master Li's Training 1
Item: Spin Attack
Quest Description: Basically a training course master li puts you through. fighting baddies, push pull blocks, balance maze, etc. succeed and he'll teach you spin attack.
Item Description: tap the sword icon twice to use a spin attack which will damage all the enemies around you. able to turn it on or off in your profile.

Master Li's Training 2
Item: roll dodge
Quest Description: basically the same as the first one, but with different puzzles, baddies etc. same general idea though.
Item Description: allows you to roll, which will give you a small speed boost, and cause you to dodge any attack that hits you during said roll. i can see this being used by people who dont really want to bother to pk, and just want to get through, and by people who do want to pk by chasing down people, and dodging their attacks.
