I think player made graphics should be used more widely. If anything, it would save the artists a job, and they would become more graphics moderators. Coco does an amazing job but maybe sometimes it is best just to allow some of the cool and original ideas to be used that have been created by players, not just in the holidays.
One plus of this, is that players know what players want. (PKers want masks and stuff etc)

Although I partly agree with you, about using more player-made graphics, it could be quite risky. If we use a wide variety of player-made items, it may result to increasing the prospect of stolen graphics. Do you recall the incident with "Lucy's" graphics in the Nexus? All of "her" graphics were not originated by herself. I know, an incident like this has only rarely happened, and the majority of player-made graphics wouldn't all be stolen, but there will most definitely be some stolen graphics. I mean, even on this last Christmas, I found a few stolen graphics. Personally, I prefer the idea of only occasionally accepting player-made items, only on certain special events. This securely stabalizes the slight possibilities of accepting some stolen graphics, without knowing the player actually didn't make it themselves.
To summarize all that I have said, Graal shouldn't use too many player-made graphics due to the possibility of it actually being stolen.
