Sure you can "throw your guild at a tower and eventually hit goal". But that's assuming the opposing guild that you are throwing your guild at is an easy opponent to conquer .

Also, you don't do well at towering with skill, you can easily just recruit a ton of people and take it and just sit there. There's not any form of strategy at all, just run at it with more people and you win. Then sit there with more people and you win. There are exceptions to every rule, but about 95% of the time this is how things work there.
Spar is different. You don't get good at spar simply by spending a lot of time doing it, you actually have to improve. There are people who are deemed "good" at towering but would probably suck at every aspect of graal without manipulation over noobs to increase numbers.
