I'm currently learning most of my coding related things on CodeAcademy and from buying books.
Sometimes, I check out books from my school and learn it from there. I learn faster from books, soo yeah, I recommend you trying out some books

The textbook that I use for my course is,
Starting out with Java: From Control Structures through Objects 5th Edition, and we went through chapters 1-6 which covered mainly methods, classes, loops, if-else statements, and the fundamentals of Java. Chapters 7 and beyond will be covered in CSC 210. Any other textbooks you recommend that are available via PDF?
