Just my opinion, not trying to disrespect anyone here, but actually it does matter if it came from a staff member, and I'm pretty sure he gave you good reason.

Cruxis was Staff leader CxE wasn't.
Even when Cruxis hit 1k and we got the hat everyone left and no one really joined only a few players I knew personally joined in and soon after we just stopped it and made CxE
