Both of those have existed in the past. I don't know the history of the bombing level, but it's notable that Stefan's used Bomber as a nick.
The BC Crane Game was based on the crane game in Link's Awakening.

The only thing that always struck me was that the code, graphics and levels were already existent but it still took them years to get it working/done/scrapped.
