I don't know about the south man, they still have segregated proms in a few places, IKR 2015. Here's the keys to surviving the south:
1. google wrangler jeans
2. cowboy hat
3. cowboy boots
4. plain white t-shirt
5. copenhagen <--only people from the south will know what that means
6. most important, start listening to Toby Keith
as far as being bullied

All of this is true. To add to it
7. Belt buckle. The bigger it is the more respect you will get.
8. Make sure you spit. For southern people its like marking your territory.
9. Common Words used in the south:
A. Ya'll - Use when talking to more than one person. Example: "Whach ya'll doin" or "I meet ya'll lata"
B. Ma'am - Anytime you are speaking to a woman refer to them as ma'am.
C. Eeyun - Basically the word in, but they like to emphasize on this word. Example: "Boi get eeyun here!"
D. Finna - Fixing to. Example: I'm finna go to da licca stowe.
E. Kinfolk - Family. If someone says "You me in kinfolk" it means they consider you a very good friend.

You're from the philippines? It'd be a lot easier if you came to California. We have a large filipino community here. Some really good filipino restaurants too
