This whole church thing is all opinions and will differ from person to person. So stop.
I never though church was helpful. I would go because my girlfriend would only be allowed to see me and hang out with me afterward if i would go to church with her first (this was several years ago lol). It was f***ing weird. One day, our youth group merged with the little kids youth group and there was this christian concert in the main church auditorium. The music was cool, pretty rock. Afterwards, this guy came on to talk about hell. He told us and all the little innocent children about his best friend. His best friend was severely injured in Iraq and had third degree burns all over his body. He was telling us how painful emotionally and physically it is the that solider. He then told us if we don't submit ourselves to jesus that individual day that we would feel those burns for eternity in hell.
Needless to say, many of the brainwashed children did exactly what he said. It was literally the biggest brainwashing I have EVER seen in my life. I was infuriated. Getting children all in a room together without their guardians, and scaring them into believing what you believe.
I was not comforted by this church. This argument is invalid. Lets move on.
And all the people saying it is all about the community, religious people can be and are usually (imo) the most judgemental people you can find. Their advice will be distorted by what is perceived as sin.
And remember, no matter what, bang that girl and don't worry bout no sin. Just worry bout stds
