Sounds like a good way to either start college at 30, or have student loans till you are 55.

There's literally no difference between him going to college where he moves or him going to college where he is now.
The only factor is the fact he has to pay to live on his own, which he would probably end up doing regardless of what college he went to.
But he already said he's doing college where he is now anyways
