I like them mate. You could try to simplify your shading a bit. Try using just three shades of gray for the blade, and maybe 2-3 for the hilt. It would make them a lot cleaner unless you're attempting a tarnished metal/rusted/worn look.
In my attached example I used 3 colors for the blade. 4 colors for the hand guard. 3 colors for the hilt. 3 colors for the outline. (blade, hand guard, hilt) It's not the most cool looking example ever, but it's clean. A good way to get better, at least for me, was to make basic designs with basic shading. After I got the hang of it, I made more complicated designs.
