Its pretty clear you are the one needed to be educated. Perhaps not so much giraffes, that was probably a bad example. However, there are animals what could easily get out of their cages. (Electric would go off, causing electric fences to be useless.) This is a plausible way as to how animals could be in new environments and countries, i assume your education system must be very bad, you live in America by any chance?

I assume where you live must impact your knowledge on ecology?
The animals that escape from zoos have little chance of surviving outside of their natural environment and with nobody to feed them they are forced to revert back to old instincts they've left behind while in captivity.
And any who do survive will probably either adapt to their new environments and settle in or just die off eventually.
As Nabu said, a couple or lose tigers in the middle of Texas or London is hardly going to change anything towards the larger population. So quit acting like all the small things are going to somehow make huge differences.
