If I'm sparring why does it matter that I can't enter forts? You'd still be able to message people, graal would just change the server you're connected to when you enter a spar room.

Part of what makes MMOs appealing is that you are in a world where people are doing a number of different things for a bunch of different goals. When you seperate the playerbase based on interests, it becomes very stale and feels empty. You can look at how Ultima Online died as an example of that.
