Well I think it's natural that people just want the easiest possible way to their goals, and making truces makes it easier for everyone to do that. The reason why it's bad, obviously, is because that isn't the intent of towering at all, so it needs to be an actual achievement to reach these kinds of goals. I can't really blame the people too much, they're just doing what's easiest for them. The system is at fault in my opinion, which is why at least some kind of change is needed.
