If a person does something while under the influence of something it is still their fault. Just because someone is drunk and shoots somebody because they happened to have a gun doesn't mean it's the availability of the gun's fault for the death/injury of somebody just because some person was "drunk".

It's 100% the persons fault, having the gun available to them allowed them to carry out the act though. I can't imagine crimes such as school shootings going the same way without a gun. But of course that's fine because you'd rather have freedom... right?
